The Student Senators are elected by the student body of the Senator's respective division to represent their needs and concerns on the USS and to the administration. The Executive Board (consisting of the Student Trustees, Co-Chairs, Treasurer, Secretary, and Communications Director) meets regularly with President Van Zandt, and Senior Vice President of Student Services Linda Reimer, among others, both in and outside The New School, to represent student interests.

During his education in Southern California, Enzo founded Pi Tau Epsilon, the first nationwide Film and Visual Arts Honor Society. The organization has expanded and provided student filmmakers and visual artists with academic recognition. They completed their undergraduate at Mercyhurst University, earning a double major in International Relations and Intelligence Analysis Methodologies for an undergraduate degree.   Maftuna Tolipova  is a second year BA/BFA student at Mannes School of Music, The New School. She is majoring in Piano Performance and minoring in Fashion Studies. She has traveled around the world to broaden her musical skills and to learn different cultures. Maftuna is originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She has moved to U.S. in 2014. It is her second semester in the University Student Senate. She is always happy to help students and improve their times at The New School. Since May 2016 Larisa has been a Parsons Student Senator at the University Student Senate (the USS), and from January to September 2017 she was the communications director of the USS.   EUGENE LANG COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS    Marios Pavlakis  was born in Athens, Greece and grew up in the island of Evia, in a fishing village named Karystos. After his graduation from the high school of the island, Marios moved to Athens in order to pursue his studies in Economics and International Relations at the American College of Greece. While a student there, Marios was heavily involved in student life and during the previous academic year he was the president of the college’s student association. During his freshman and sophomore year, Marios was working as the assistant of the Public Diplomacy Officer at the American Embassy in Athens. While there, Marios assisted on the implementation of public diplomacy programs and handled media outlets. After completing these two years of study and work, he felt the need to expand his academic horizons, reaching to a more international perspective of his academic subject. As a result he transferred to The New School in New York to continue his studies and pursue a double major in Economics and Global Studies. He was part of the United Nations Summer Study Program with a practicum under UN Women/UNCTED. As of Fall 2017, he serves as the Vice President of Oikos NYC, while he is also a member of The New School Debate Team and Mock Trial Team.
