Run for Fall 25 Special Elections! •

What do we do?

We are the University Student Senate: a democratically-elected body of the students that make up all parts of The New School. We play a critical role in funding student life on campus, representing student interests to the administration, and passing legislation that protects our most vulnerable.

Students are encouraged to reach out to us directly via email (uss@newschool.edu) or Instagram (@tns_uss) and share their experiences. If you have any questions or need support, we are here for you. We will happily advocate for you and/or connect you to the right people.

Any student, staff, or faculty member can attend our General Meetings, which happen every Friday from 3:30-5pm in the USS Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Student Hub at 39 W 13th St.

We work for administrative transparency and accountability in supporting our student body. Our goal is to align the University with the social-justice oriented goals that drew us to The New School from the start.
