We work for administrative transparency and accountability in supporting our student body. Our goal is to align the University with the social-justice oriented goals that drew us to The New School from the start.
What Do We Do?
We, your student government, are constantly working toward the wellbeing of students, bettering student life, and supporting students. Our intention is always to represent the intentions of the student body at large. Students are encouraged to reach out to us directly via email (uss@newschool.edu) or Instagram (@newschoolstudentsenate) and share their experiences. If you have any questions or need support, we are here for you. We will happily advocate for you and/or connect you to the right people.
Every senator has weekly office hours in the USS Office in the UC. (Room 616B)

advocacy
The Advocacy Committee establishes and works with various student leaders and organizations to take on a variety of initiatives to better student life and support students.
communications
The Communications Committee works through various social media platforms to establish connections within the student body that ignite the power of every voice.
ENGAGEMENT
The Engagement Committee works to engage our student community through events and different collaborations with different departments and student groups
finance
The Finance Committee aids students and organizations to host events and programs to establish pertinent opportunities for The New School and its students.
