We would like to invite you to participate in the University Student Senate (USS) elections for the Spring 2016 term. Last semester’s elections for the Fall 2015 term had a historic record of 52 candidates running for 16 positions. With the help of student leaders, the voter turnout doubled. We believe that with your help we can involve more students in making The New School a better place.
Elections will be conducted as follows:
In an effort to align with our values of transparency and equity, and also to learn from the mistakes that were made in last semester’s elections, the University Student Senate has created a new Election system. It is our goal to create a fair and transparent procedure that gives each student equal opportunities to voice their political opinions and to represent their college in the senate. All students currently enrolled (as of Spring Semester 2016), are eligible to vote; every student is able to cast one vote.
Candidacy Submission Period
